Installation
Smart Gun Applicator Installation
To Robot
M5 mounting screws and lock washers are provided by the end user for installing the
smart gun applicator to a automation robot. Hoist the smart gun applicator to the end of
the robotic arm. Mount to the face plate of the robotic arm.
Pneumatic Connections
1. Connect at least 80 psi (5.51 bar, 0.55 MPa) of clean shop air to the main air inlet of
the pneumatic system feeding the smart gun.
2. Connect 1/4” air tubing from the pneumatic controller to each main air inlets on the
swivel assembly.
3. Connect 1/4” air tubing from the swivel air outlet ports to each integrated valve air inlet
port.
Material and Other Connections
See Figure 4-1 and refer to Table 4-1.
1. Connect material outlet hose of supply to material inlet port of the smart gun.
NOTE:
The material supply port is a 1/2” NPT port.
2. Ensure all connections to the robot are secure.
3. Ensure all connections to air and material are properly connected before dispensing in
the application.
