Calibrating the Tank Level Sensor
There are two types of tank calibrations:
S
Calibrate Empty
S
Calibrate Full
Although the melter is calibrated empty at the factory, you can also calibrate
full at any time to increase the accuracy of the level sensor. Typically, this
only has to be done one time.
NOTES:
S
The adhesive in the tank can be either in a molten state or cold.
S
If you are performing an empty calibration, you may want to use the Drain
option first to get as much of the adhesive out of the tank as possible.
1. Make sure the melter is in a Temperature Ready state. Specifically, the
tank are at set point.
2. Do the following to continue:
S
To perform an empty calibration, make sure there is little to no
adhesive in the tank. Select
Calibrate Empty
and press
on the
Navigation pad. A confirmation message quickly appears indicating
that the empty calibration is done.
S
To perform a full calibration, make sure adhesive covers up the level
sensor in the tank. Select
Calibrate Full
and press
on the
Navigation pad. A confirmation message quickly appears indicating
that the full calibration is done.
3. Press
to return to the
Home
screen, or press
