Cylinder O-ring Installation
See Figure C 1-8.
Apply a liberal coating of PTFE grease to the two large O-rings (14), then
install them into the grooves in the cylinder heads (2 and 16).

Piston, Cylinder, and Cylinder Head Installation
See Figure C 1-9.
1. Apply a thin film of PTFE grease to the connecting rod (21), the rubber
part of the air piston (22), and the inside diameter of the cylinder (15).
2. Insert the end of the connecting rod through the lower cylinder head (16)
and carefully through the U-cup seal.
3. Slide the cylinder over the air piston and seat it firmly on the lower
cylinder head. Tap on the cylinder rim with a rubber mallet, if necessary,
to work the cylinder over the O-ring on the lower cylinder head.
4. Install the upper cylinder head (2) on the cylinder, making sure the
machined faces of the cylinder heads are parallel with each other. Tap
on the upper cylinder head with a rubber mallet, if necessary, to work the
cylinder over the O-ring on the upper cylinder head.
5. Install the four long hex-head screws (1) through the upper and lower
cylinder heads and thread the hex nuts (20) loosely on the screws.
