Air Motor Re-Assembly

Clean all reusable parts thoroughly before re-assembling the air motor.

Inspect all parts and replace any that are worn, scored, or damaged beyond

repair.

Piston/Connecting Rod Assembly

See Figure C 1-6.

1. Thread the new piston (22) counterclockwise (left-hand threads) onto

the connecting rod (21) until the piston contacts the shoulder at the

bottom of the connecting rod threads.

2. Install the flat washer (23) on the socket-head screw (24), and thread

the screw into the connecting rod. Tighten the screw to 27

4 N

(20

3 ft-lb).

Tighten to 27

4 N

(20

3 ft-lb)

Left-hand threads: Turn

clockwise to loosen,

counterclockwise to tighten.

Tighten
