8.1 Water tank cleaning
Although clean water is used, the tank needs to be cleaned from time to time – ideally, once
a week. By doing so you will increase the service life of both the filter and suction pump, and
prevent microorganisms from growing and further spreading.
a)
Rotate the swivel to the horizontal position and slide out the tank a little way.
b)
Using the swivel, detach the water pump from the tank bottom.
c)
Dry the tank completely.
d)
Wash the tank with warm water. Do not use detergents or steel wools, chemically
treated dust collecting fabrics, petrol, benzene, diluents or other solvents as they might
damage water tank and cause water leaking!
e)
To insert the water tank, push it into the unit with both hands and put it to the right
position.
f)
Re-install the pump and secure it with the swivel.
g)
Do not forget to secure the tank in the vertical position by means of the swivel.
8.2 Appliance and pre-filter cleaning
a)
Turn the unit off and remove the plug from the outlet before cleaning.
b)
Clean the cover with a soft dry cloth. If the unit is very dirty, use mild
detergents. Wipe the unit with a damp cloth. Water must not enter the unit.
c)
Remove the pre-filter from the rear part of the unit, clean it either with a
vacuum cleaner or soapy water with a temperature not exceeding 40 °C.
d)
Dry the pre-filter thoroughly before replacing it into the unit.
9 Storage
If you do not intend to use the unit for a longer time, please follow these instructions:
a)
Turn the unit off and remove the plug from the outlet. Empty the tank and dry it
completely. To dry the interior space of the appliance thoroughly, start the appliance
and let it run in the ventilation mode for 1-2 hours.
b)
Clean the pre-filter.
c)
Make sure that the appliance is in good condition to ensure its safe use after a
prolonged period of storage.
d)
Remove the battery.
e)
Pack up the unit in appropriate packaging, preferably covered with plastic foil.
f)
Store the cooler/humidifier in a dust-free and dry place, do not expose it to direct
sunlight.
