Operating Instructions
The UGP5 is a two slot charger specifically designed for GoPro HERO5 Black
batteries. The UGP5 will automatically select the appropriate CC or CV charging
mode based on the power level, internal resistance, input power and more.
Connecting:
Draw out the rear USB plug and connect it to a power supply
(USB adapter, PC, etc.). Upon connection, the UGP5’s LCD will display power
indicators and battery percentages (0%) before entering standby mode.
Automatic Detection on Maximum Output of
Adaptor
The UGP5 is basically compatible with all USB inputs and will automatically
adjust the charging current based on input available.
When the input power is adequate, the UGP5 will charge up to two batteries at
the rate of 750mA respectively.
When the input power is inadequate, the UGP5 will automatically detect the
max input power and charge by the appropriate current.
Active Current Distribution
With Active Current Distribution, the UGP5 intelligently distributes current to
charge batteries at the rate of maximum power.
Battery Status Detection
Once the battery is inserted, the UGP5 will proceed with a initial low current
test charge to diagnose battery status. After the diagnoses, battery status will
be shown as Good, Normal or Poor. The UGP5 will also display battery voltage,
charging current and charged volume. After detection, the UGP5 will begin to
charge immediately if the battery status is good.
NOTE:
Re-insert the battery when “Poor” appears on the screen to avoid the
possibility of a poor battery contact. Replace the battery if “Poor” comes up on
the screen consistently.
Over Discharged Battery Activation
The UGP5 will automatically activate over discharged battery caused by
improper storage or misuse. As for the battery can not be activated, it will be
considered as damaged and “EE EE” will shown on the screen to notify users.
NOTE:
this function only available for batteries with protection board.
Cautions
1. The charger is compatible with GoPro HERO5 Black batteries only. Do not
attempt to charge other batteries.
2. Moderate heat from this product is to be expected and considered normal.
3. Operating temperature is -10~40°C, and the safe storage temperature is
-20~60°C.
4. The charger is for use by adults above 18 years old. Children under this age
must be supervised by an adult when using the charger.
5. Do not leave the product unattended while it is connected to a power
supply. If any malfunction is found, please terminate operation immediately,
and turn to user manual for instruction.
6. When a fully discharged battery can only be used for a short time after
recharged, this means it is near the end of the expected charging cycle
lifespan and should not be used.
7. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight, heating devices, open flames;
avoid extreme high or extreme low ambient temperatures and sudden
temperature changes.
8. Please operate the charger in a well-ventilated area. Do not operate or store
it in damp area. Keep all the inflammable volatile substances away from
operating area.
9. Avoid mechanical vibration or shock as these may cause damage to the
device.
10. Do not allow metal wires or other conductive material into the charger.
Doing so may cause short circuit, explosion or other accidents.
11. Remove all batteries and unplug the charging unit from the power source
when not in use.
12. Opening, disassembling, modifying, tampering with the unit may invalidate
its guarantee, check warranty terms.

Warranty Details

Warranty is provided only for products purchased from an authorized source.
This applies to all NITECORE products.
Any DOA / defective product can be exchanged for a replacement through
a local distributor/dealer within the 15 days of purchase. After 15 days, all

products can be repaired free of charge
for a period of 12 months (1 year) from the date of purchase.
Beyond 12 months (1 year), a limited warranty applies, covering the cost of
labor and maintenance, but not the cost of accessories or replacement parts.
The warranty is nullified if the product(s) is/are broken down, reconstructed
and/or modified by unauthorized parties damaged from wrong operations (i.e.
reserve polarity installation, installation of non-rechargeable batteries, failure to
obey the instructions), or damaged by batteries leakage.

Instrucciones de operación
El UGP5 es un cargador de 2 bahías diseñado específicamente para baterías
GoPro HERO5 Black. El UGP5 seleccionará automáticamente el modo apropiado
de carga CC o CV basado en el nivel de batería, resistencia interna, potencia de
entrada y más.
Conectar:
Extraiga el conector USB trasero y conéctelo a una fuente de
alimentación (adaptador USB, PC, etc.). Al conectarse, el LCD del UGP5
mostrará indicadores de encendido y porcentajes de batería (0%) antes de
entrar en el modo de espera.
Detección automática en la salida máxima del
adaptador
El UGP5 es compatible con todas las entradas USB y automáticamente ajustará
la corriente de carga basado en la corriente de entrada disponible.
Cuando la corriente de entrada es adecuada, el UGP5 cargará hasta 2 baterías a
una potencia de 750mA respectivamente.
Cuando la corriente de entrada es inadecuada, el UGP5 automáticamente

Con la Distribución Activa de Corriente, el UGP5 distribuye la corriente de forma

Detección del estado de la batería
Una vez que la batería ha sido instalada, el UGP5 procederá inicialmente con
una prueba diagnóstico de baja potencia para saber el estado de la batería.
Después del diagnóstico, el estado de la batería se mostrará como Bueno,
Normal o Bajo.
NOTA:
Vuelva a insertar la batería cuando aparezca “Poor” en la pantalla
para evitar la posibilidad de un contacto deficiente de la batería. Reemplace la
batería si aparece “Poor” en la pantalla de forma consistente.
Activación de baterías sobre descargadas
El UGP5 automáticamente activará baterías sobre descargadas causado por
almacenaje inapropiado o mal uso. En cuanto a las baterías que no pueden ser
activadas, serán consideradas como dañadas y “EE EE” aparecerá en la pantalla
para notificar al usuario.
NOTA:
Esta función está disponible solo para baterías con placa de protección.
Precauciones
1. El cargador es compatible solo con baterías GoPro HERO5 Black. No intente
cargar otras baterías.
2. Es esperado un calor moderado en este producto y considerado normal.
3. La temperatura de operación es de: -10-40°C, y la temperatura de
almacenamiento de: -20-60°C.
4. El cargador es para uso de adultos mayores de 18 años de edad. Los niños
menores de esa edad deben ser supervisados por un adulto cuando usen el
cargador.
5. No deje el producto sin atención mientras está conectado a una fuente
de alimentación. Si se encuentra algún mal funcionamiento, por favor
termine la operación inmediatamente y regrese al manual de usuario para
instrucciones.
6. Cuando una batería completamente descargada puede ser usada sólo por
un periodo corto de tiempo después de ser recargada, significa que está
cerca del final de la vida útil esperada del ciclo de carga y no debe ser
usada.
7. No exponga el dispositivo a la luz directa del sol, dispositivos de
calefacción, flamas abiertas; Evite temperaturas extremadamente altas o
extremadamente bajas y cambios bruscos de temperatura.
8. Por favor utilice el cargador en áreas bien ventiladas. No utilice o almacene

Bedienungsanleitung
Der UGP5 ist ein Zwei-Slot-Ladegerät speziell für GoPro HERO5 Black
Akkus. Der UGP5 wählt automatisch den entsprechenden CC- oder CV-
Lademodus, basierend auf dem Leistungspegel, dem internen Widerstand, der
Eingangsleistung und weiteren Parametern.
Anschließen
Nehmen Sie den USB-Stecker aus der hinteren Halterung und verbinden Sie ihn
mit einer Stromquelle (USB-Adapter, PC usw.). Nach dem Anschließen zeigt die
LCD den Betrieb des UGP5 und das Display den Akku-Ladestand in Prozent an
(0%), bevor der UPG5 in den Standby-Mode geht.
Automatische Erkennung der maximalen
Leistung der Energiequelle
Der UGP5 ist mit allen USB-Eingängen kompatibel und passt den Ladestrom
automatisch an die verfügbare Leistung an.
Wenn die Eingangsleistung ausreichend ist, lädt der UGP5 bis zu zwei Akkus mit
max 750mA auf.
Wenn die Eingangsleistung unzureichend ist, erkennt der UGP5 automatisch die
maximale Eingangsleistung und passt den Ladestrom der verfügbaren Leistung
an.
Aktive Stromverteilung
Die aktive Stromverteilung des UGP5 verteilt den Strom intelligent, um die
Akkus mit der max. Leistung zu laden.
Erkennung des Akku-Zustands
Sobald der Akku eingelegt ist, beginnt der UGP5 mit einer anfänglichen
Niedrigstrom-Testladung, um den Akkustatus zu diagnostizieren. Nach der
Diagnose wird der Akkustatus als "Gut", "Normal" oder "Schlecht" angezeigt.
HINWEIS:
Wird der Akkustatus als "Poor" angezeigt, überprüfen Sie zuerst, ob
der Kontakt des Akku zum Ladegerät optimal ist, da es sich sonst ggf. um eine
Falschmeldung handelt. Entnehmen Sie dazu den Akku und legen Sie ihn erneut
in korrekter Weise ein. Wechseln Sie den Akku aus, wenn die Meldung gleich
bleibt.
Reaktivierung tiefentladener Akkus
Das UPG5 ist in der Lage, tiefentladene, geschützte Li-Ionen-Akkus zu
reaktivieren. Nach dem Einlegen der Akkus prüft das UPG5 die Akkus und
reaktiviert diese vor dem Laden. Als beschädigt erkannte Akkus werden nicht
vom UPG5 reaktiviert und
"EE" erscheint auf dem LCD Display, um einen Fehler anzuzeigen.
HINWEIS:
Diese Funktion ist nur für Akkus mit Schutzschaltung verfügbar.
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
1. Der UPG5 Lader ist ausschließlich für GoPro HERO5 Black Akkus geeignet.
Versuchen Sie NICHT, andere Akkus damit aufzuladen.
2. Es ist normal, wenn der UPG5 Lader während des Ladens moderate Wärme
abgibt.
3. Betriebstemperatur: -10° bis 40°C, Lagertemperatur: -20° bis 60°C
4. Kinder sollten von einem Erwachsenen beaufsichtigt werden, wenn Sie

9. Setzen Sie den Lader KEINEN Schlägen oder Erschütterungen aus.
10. Stellen Sie KEINE leitenden oder metallene Gegenstände in den Lader, um
einen Kurzschluss oder Explosionen zu vermeiden.
11. Entfernen Sie alle Akkus und trennen Sie das Gerät von der Stromquelle,
wenn es nicht in Gebrauch ist.
12. Zerlegen oder modifizieren Sie den Lader NICHT. Anderenfalls erlischt der
Garantieanspruch. Lesen Sie dazu die Details in dieser Anleitung.

geschickt werden. Über 24 Monate hinaus deckt die Garantie die Arbeitskosten,
jedoch nicht die Kosten für Zubehör- oder Ersatzteile. Der Garantieanspruch

Fonction Standard
L'UGP5 est un chargeur double spécialement conçu pour les batteries GoPro
HERO5 Black. L'UGP5 sélectionne automatiquement le mode de charge CC
ou CV en fonction du niveau de puissance, de la résistance interne, de la
puissance d'entrée.
Connexion :
Déroulez le câble USB, levez l’enrouleur et tirez le câble comme
indiqué. Branchez une extrémité du câble USB inclus dans le port d’entrée et
l’autre extrémité à une alimentation (adaptateur, port USB de PC ou autre port
USB standard).
Au début de la charge, l’écran LCD affichera le niveau de batterie (0%) avant
d’entrer en mode veille.
Détection automatique de la puissance
maximale
L'UGP5 est compatible avec toutes les entrées USB et ajuste automatiquement
le courant de charge en fonction de l'entrée disponible. Lorsque la puissance
d'entrée est suffisante, l'UGP5 chargera jusqu'à deux batteries à raison de
750 mA respectivement. Lorsque la puissance d'entrée est insuffisante, l'UGP5
détecte automatiquement la puissance d'entrée maximale et la charge par le
courant approprié.

(ACD)
La technologie ACD permet de distribuer la puissance entre les différents
emplacements de manière ordonnée.
Etat de la batterie
Une fois la batterie insérée, l'UGP5 procédera à une charge initiale de test de
courant faible pour diagnostiquer l'état de la batterie. Après le diagnostic, l'état
de la batterie s'affiche comme Bon, Normal ou Mauvais (Good, Normal, Poor)
Note:
Re-insérer la batterie lorsque "Poor" apparaît à l'écran au cas il y aurait
un mauvais contact de la batterie, remplacez la batterie si "Poor" apparaît à
l'écran de façon continue.
Activation de la batterie
Le chargeur est capable d’activer des batteries complètement déchargées. Après
insertion des batteries, le chargeur effectue un test et active les batteries avant
la charge, Les batteries détectées comme étant endommagées ne peuvent pas
être actives et "EE EE" s'affiche à l'écran pour informer les utilisateurs.
Note:
Cette fonction ne fonctionne qu'avec des batteries avec circuit de
protection.
Précautions
1. L’utilisation du chargeur UPG5 est restreinte aux batteries rechargeables
GoPro HERO5 Black N’utilisez jamais le chargeur UGP5 avec d’autres types
de batteries
2. Une chaleur modérée se dégage du produit pendant l’utilisation;
3. La plage de température appropriée pour le chargeur en opération est
-10°C-40°C, et -20°C-60°C lorsqu’il est inactif.
4. L’utilisation de ce chargeur est réservée aux adultes de plus de 18 ans. Les
enfants en dessous de cet âge doivent être supervisés par un adulte quand
ils utilisent ce chargeur.
5. Ne laissez jamais le chargeur sans surveillance lorsqu’il est connecté à une
source d’énergie. Si vous constatez un dysfonctionnement, arrêtez la charge
immédiatement et référez-vous au mode d’emploi
6. Lorsqu’une batterie rechargée a un temps d’utilisation restreint, cela signifie
qu’elle doit être remplacée.
7. N’utilisez pas et ne stockez pas le chargeur près de flammes, à la lumière
directe du soleil ou près d’appareils de chauffage. Evitez les températures
ambiantes trop basses ou trop hautes et les changements brutaux de
température
8. Utilisez le chargeur dans des espaces bien ventilés. Ne l’utilisez pas et ne
le stockez pas dans un environnement trop humide. N’approchez pas de
substances volatiles inflammables du chargeur
