8. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Conditions to use the EMP-3 correctly are described below.
If any condition is not met, the instrument cannot demonstrate its original performance and
a shorter lifetime and a failure will also result.

C)
* There shall be no abrupt temperature change.
Humidity
10%-80% r.h. There shall be no condensation.
Altitude
Around 0 - 2,000 m
Other
Atmospheric
Requirements
The instrument shall not be used in dusty environment.
Direct sunlight shall be avoided
No corrosive gas or volatile organic solvent shall be detected.
Liquid such as water shall not splash the instrument directly.
Vibration
Shall not be sensed by a human body.
* The above shall not be applied to the MOBILE mode.
Installation
Location
Shall be horizontal and have sufficient strength.
* The above shall not be applied to the MOBILE mode.
MEASURES AGAINST ELECTRIC NOISE
The EMP-3 has been designed such that it complies with the standard concerning the
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
However, if the product is exposed to conductive or emissive noise beyond the standard,
the product may receive a bad influence.
Do not install the instrument within a 10 m radius from another instrument that generates
the above-mentioned noise, such as a high output electric power instrument, high frequency
instrument, SCR controlled machine, emission spectrophotometer or electric welder.
Also be fully careful of static electricity.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Although the EMP-3 has drip-proof and dustproof features (except for sample gas)
equivalent to IP63, it is advisable to avoid storage in an environment with high temperature
and humidity or with much dust and exposure to rainfall or liquid.
