Removal and Installation
Main Control Board
The main control board and the operator’s display are integral components to one another and cannot be
separated.
Caution! The main power connection to the
control board is unswitched. Make
sure to disconnect the battery
connector to avoid damaging the
control board.
1. If this procedure is being performed to replace a
defective control board, and if that control board
is functional enough to do so, enter the
Machine Controller Programming
menu described
on page 19 and record the existing program
parameters.
2. Turn off the key switch and disconnect the battery
cable connector.
3. Remove the 5 screws
(1)
that secure the control board to the steering column.
4. Lift the control board away from the steering column, taking care not to stress the wiring harness.
5. Remove the two screws

that secure the two
wires
(3 & 4)
to the key switch terminals.
• During replacement, take care not to install
the battery power
(3)
to the normally closed
terminal
(5)
. This terminal should not be used.
6. Remove the screw
(6)
that secures the ground
wire
(7)
to the control board, and remove the wire.
7. Disconnect the cable connectors
(J1, J2, & J3)
from the control board.
8. Remove the control board.
9. After replacing the control board with a new one,
the controller will automatically enter the hidden
menu system when the key switch is turned on. The deck type for the machine must be set before the
machine will operate.
10. Continue navigating through the
Main Machine Controller Programming
and restore all of the appropriate settings.
