Nomenclature and Using
The illustration shows SMZ460 zooming body.
Eyepiece
10X, 15X and 20X
eyepieces are available.
Diopter rings
Provided on both the right
and lefthand eyepieces.
Adjust to prevent out-of-
focus during the zooming
operation.
Zooming body
Arm
Zooming body clamp screw
Fixes the zooming body to
the arm.
Stage plate
The black or the white
side can be chosen
according to the
sample. The antistatic
ESD stage plate is also
available.
Zooming knob
Rotation of the zooming
knob changes the
magnifying power of the
objective continuously
from the lowest to the
highest. The powers are
indicated on the knob.
Focus knob
Rotation of the knobs
moves the main body of
microscope vertically for
focusing.
For adjusting the
tightness of the rotation,
turn the right and
lefthand knobs in the
opposite directions.
Arm fixing screw
Holds the arm. The
position of the arm can
be chosen from either
high or low.
Hole for clip
Holds the clip (optional)
for retaining the sample.
