Viewing Images
• Images may be displayed briefly at low resolution immediately after switching to the next or
previous image.
• If you are viewing an image that was captured using face detection (

68) or pet detection
(

46), the image will be rotated and displayed automatically in full-frame playback mode, based
on the orientation of the faces detected, except for images captured with Continuous , BSS ,
Multi-shot 1 6 (
A
63), or Subject tracking (
A
63).
• The orientation of images can be changed using Rotate image (
A
78) in the playback menu.

Notes About the Quick Effects Function
• When

is displayed in full-frame playback mode, you can
press the
k
button to apply an effect to the image.
• When the effect selection screen is displayed, press the multi
selector

or
K
to select an effect, press the
k
button, and then
select Yes in the confirmation dialog and press the
k
button to
