Filling the heating/heating medium systems
Fill the heating medium system with water to the required
pressure and vent the system.
Start-up and inspection
1. Set the switch to 1.
2. Check the settings on the control system, and adjust so
there is a heating requirement.
3. Go to the ”Brine-pump, EP-drift” menu in the service
menu. Set ”Brine-pump” in pos 1 and press ”Operating
mode”. Set ”EP-drift” in pos 1 and press ”Operating
mode”.

Check that the brine and heating medium pumps are
vented and if necessary help the pumps to start.
5. Go to the ”Brine In, Brine O” menu. Ensure that the tem-
perature corresponds with the soil/rock temperature, which
indicates the brine flow.
6. Go to the ”Brine-pump, EP-drift” menu in the service
menu. Set ”EP-drift” to 0. The compressor should start
within a few minutes. If this does not happen, check that
there is heating or hot water requirement.
7. Go to the ”Brine In, Brine O” menu. Read the brine tem-
peratures. The difference between these two temperatures
should be 2 – 5°C when the system has come into balance.
A high difference indicates a low brine flow. A low differ-
ence indicates a high brine flow.

Particular attention should be given to the level in the brine
system when initially using the heat pump. Some topping-
up may be necessary.
9. Read the heating medium temperatures ”WW-out” and
”WW-in”. The difference between these two temperat-
ures, with floating condensing, should be 5 - 10°C when
the heat pump heats the heating water without additional
heat. A high difference could depend on a low heat medi-
um flow.
10. Checking the cooling operation
- Check the settings on the control system, and adjust so
there is a cooling requirement.
- Check that the external circulation pumps start and that
the compressor cools.
- In the event of no flow, the flow monitor does not give
a start signal to the compressor.

Fill in the commissioning report on page 2.
12. Set the control system to suit the needs of the building.
Readjusting, heating medium side
Air is initially released from the hot water and venting may
be necessary. If bubbling sounds can be heard from the heat
pump, the entire system requires further venting. When the
system is stable (correct pressure and all air eliminated) the
automatic heating control system can be set as required.
Readjusting, collector side
Check the pressure level in the expansion vessel (85). If the
pressure drops, the system should be replenished.
