Replacing a Unity Storage Expansion controller

►

To replace a failed Unity Storage Expansion controller:

1. Remove the SAS cables from the failed controller, being sure to label each SAS cable with the number of

the SAS port to which it was attached.

2. For standard controllers, remove the retaining bolt on the controller that needs to be replaced. See

Replacing a Unity Storage System controller

3. For the US 460 Expansion, remove the controller retaining bolt.

4. Pull down the extraction handle to disengage the controller from the unit, then gently pull the controller out

of the chassis, supporting its weight with the other hand.
