Purpose
This document defines instructions for using 2U Power Patch Panel P/N 81000569.

Environmental Conditions
This product is designed for indoor use. Temperature 0 to +40C.

Power Input
56 & 12 VDC are supplied to the panel using accessory power supply modules,
the power supply input is 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz, 5A

DC Power Output
(6x) 3 position terminal blocks (return, +56V and +12V) and (6x) 2 position terminal blocks
(return, +56V).
Power available at the rear
terminal blocks
are as follows:
With 1 Power Supply
– 80 watts maximum at 56V to a total maximum of 250W and 10 watts
maximum at 12V to a maximum of 60w for the whole panel.
With 2 Power Supplies
– 80 watts maximum at 56V to a total maximum of 500W and 10
watts maximum at 12V to a maximum of 60w for the whole panel.

Use
This product is compatible with power supply modules and media conversion modules,
which slide gently into slots in an unpowered panel. The output terminal blocks supply
power to class 2 circuits.

Warnings
6.1 There is a risk of shock on output terminals 50<voltage<56VDC.
6.2 This panel is meant to be installed in a dry indoor location with controlled access by
appropriate trained technicians.
6.3 Some accessory modules include Class 1 Laser components.
6.4 High touch current when multiple power supply modules are installed requires ground
connection before connecting supply. The building installation shall provide a means for
connection to protective ground and the panels shall be connected to it via the socket
terminal or any of the three ground studs on the rear output panels. A service person shall
check whether or not the socket outlet from which the power supplies are powered provides
a connection to the building protective ground. If not, the service person shall arrange for the
installation of a protective grounding conductor from any of the ground studs to the
protective ground wire in the building.
