It’s important to note that the Solo switch setting (discussed shortly) affects Mute operation .
When Solo is check-marked for a source, clicking Mute for the same source mutes the output for
that source on Master output only . Otherwise (i.e., when Solo is un-checked for a source),
clicking Mute for a source mutes it on all outputs.
13.1.2 CONNECTION TYPE
Each sub-panel governs a group of audio connections comprised of two XLR/Phone jack inputs,
1x 2-channel digital
AES/EBU connections, along with multi-channel SDI Embedded digital audio.
Only one of these input types can be operative for a given audio input group sat a moment. A

Connection Type menu at the top allows selection between the following input
options:

Mic 1, 2 – low impedance microphones and other common professional audio sources.

Mic 1, 2 + Phantom (power) – microphones (typically condenser mics) requiring
supplementary DC power.

Line – generally consumer audio sources such as CD players, VCRs, etc.

AES/EBU – a professional digital audio protocol connected using BNC connectors.

SDI Embedded – digital audio embedded with digital video transmitted via a Serial
Digital Interface (SDI) connection.

Line Quad – for convenience in some environments, two neighboring input groups (such
as 1a-1d and 2a-2d, etc.) can be configured as a single quad input governed by one set
of controls.
13.1.3 MICROPHONE SPECIFIC CONTROLS
Certain controls are only shown when the Connection Type for an input is set to one of the Mic
options, as follows.
