VGA OUTPUT

Figure 108

TriCaster’s VGA output fills several valuable purposes. You might use it to provide a video stream
to a projection or other remote display system at high resolution.

The

VGA Output Resolution

menu provides a long list of popular and useful options to allow you

to conform output to your downstream external device. Note that it is important to select the
native resolution of the external display device (monitor or projector) for best results.

NOTE: Changing Output Resolution can cause frames to be dropped briefly. We do not
recommend changing this setting during live production.

If you supply your external projection system using TriCaster’s SDI or analog video outputs (or
don’t require projection) the VGA output can be given another assignment. Often, you might use
it to support a secondary display monitor for the TriCaster operator. Or you may wish to use it
support display of something other than the main Program output. This is where the
