Maintenance
Warranty
Work performed on the
Pulse
Scout2 system components or software by persons not authorized
by Newport will result in invalidity of the guarantee and service contract.
6.2.1.
Cleaning
Do not use any aggressive solvents to clean the
Pulse
Scout2 auto-
correlator components! Switch the laser OFF or block the input
beam, switch the
Pulse
Scout2 controller OFF and disconnect the
power cord from the wall socket for cleaning!
Use a soft lint-free dry or only slightly moist cloth to clean the covers of the
Pulse
Scout2
compo-
nents.
6.2.2.
Storage of SHG Crystal
The SHG crystals provided with the
Pulse
Scout2
are slightly hygroscopic. Store crystals that are not
in use in an airtight box along with silica gel. If you do not use the autocorrelator for a long time
it is recommended to remove the crystal (see Paragraph 3.5.1 on page 19 for removal / mounting
of the SHG crystal) from the
Pulse
Scout2
optical head and to store it in an airtight box along with
silica gel.
