15.7 DETAILED COMMAND REFERENCE
This section describes the syntax, parameters, and functionality for every CS260B Statement.
Some Statements appear with some upper-case and some lower-case letters. Upper case letters
are required.
For example, “GRATing” indicates that the CS260B will accept either the command
“grat” or “grating”. The lower-case characters are optional, but if any of them are sent, they all
must be sent: in this case “gratin” is not allowed.
CS260B Commands
Command:
BANDPASS
Purpose:
Set the desired range of wavelengths at the output. The CS260B will
automatically adjust the motorized input and output slits (if included) as the
wavelength setting is changed.
Parameter:
The range of wavelengths desired, in the currently-selected wavelength
units. A value of 0 will disable the bandpass feature: the slits will not be
automatically adjusted.
Example:
bandpass
55 : assuming the wavelength units are nanometers, set the
bandpass setting to 55 nanometers.
Example:
bandpass
0: disable the bandpass mode.
Default:
0 (disabled)
Command:
BANDPASS?
Purpose:
Query the bandpass setting.
Example:
bandpass?
E.g. response:
4.0
– indicates bandpass setting is currently 4.0 units.
