Introduction
This manual is for the NETGEAR Insight Managed WiFi 6E AXE7800 Tri-band Multi-Gig
Access Point model WAX630E.
Model WAX630E, in this manual referred to as the access point, supports IEEE 802.11ax,
eight (2+4+2) streams of WiFi, and tri-band concurrent operation at 2.4 GHz (2 streams),
5 GHz (4 streams), and 6 GHz (2 streams). The combined throughput is 7800 Mbps:
600 Mbps at 2.4 GHz, 4800 Mbps at 5 GHz, and 1200 Mbps at 6 GHz. The 5 GHz and
6 GHz radios support 160 MHz bandwidth.
The access point functions as a Power over Ethernet plus (PoE++) powered device (PD)
in an existing network connected to a PoE++ switch that provides 802.3bt power (60W
PoE++ power on the port that is connected to the access point). The access point also
supports a power adapter for connection to a regular switch. Model WAX630E ships
without a power adapter, and model WAX630EP ships
with
a power adapter. If you
ordered model WAX630E but prefer to use the access point without a PoE++ connection,
you can order a power adapter separately.
The PoE++ Ethernet port supports a high speed up to 2.5 Gbps. A second Ethernet
LAN port supports a speed of 1 Gbps for a link aggregation (LAG) connection.
