Set up a LAG connection between an Orbi Pro WiFi 6
AX5400 satellite and router
You can connect the Orbi Pro WiFi 6 AX5400 satellite over a LAG connection to the
Orbi Pro WiFi 6 AX5400 router.
CAUTION:
Be sure to follow the steps in the right order and to connect the correct
ports for a LAG connection, as described in the following procedure. If you do not
configure the LAG connection in the right order, a network loop can occur. If you use
other LAN ports, the LAG connection will fail.
To set up your Orbi Pro WiFi 6 AX5400 satellite over a LAG connection to the
router:
1. Place your satellite in the room where you want WiFi service.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable to LAN port 1 on the satellite.
3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to LAN port 1 on the router.
CAUTION:
Do not yet connect the LAN 2 port on the satellite to the LAN 2 port on
the router or to any other port on the router. You will do so at the end of this
procedure, as described in the last two steps.
4. Connect the satellite to a power source.
The Power LED on the back of the satellite lights green.
The satellite bar LED pulses white. The satellite automatically syncs to the Orbi Pro
WiFi 6 AX5400 router.
Note: The first time that you sync the satellite and the router, the sync process can
take up to five minutes because the router might automatically update the satellite’s
firmware.
After the sync process is complete, the satellite bar LED lights blue for about three
minutes and then turns off. Blue indicates that the router and satellite successfully
synced, and the wired connection between the router and satellite is good.
5. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your
Orbi network.
6. Enter orbilogin.com.
A login window displays.
