7. To change the network isolation settings, select or clear the check box in the Network
Isolation column.
Selecting the check box enables network isolation, also referred to as network
segmentation, which prevents hosts and clients in the VLAN from reaching ports,
hosts, and clients in
other
VLANs, thereby increasing security.
8. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
Delete a VLAN profile
Note the following about deleting VLANs:
•
You cannot delete a VLAN profile that still has a LAN, WLAN, or interface as a
member. You can delete a VLAN only if no members are assigned to the VLAN.
•
You cannot delete the preset VLAN 1 profile with the name Default. However, you
if you want, you
can
delete one or more of the other preset VLAN profiles (VLAN 20,
the Employee VLAN; VLAN 30, the IoT VLAN; or VLAN 40, the Guest VLAN), if no
members are assigned to the VLAN.
To delete a VLAN profile:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your
Orbi network.
2. Enter orbilogin.com.
A login window displays.
If your browser does not display a login window but displays a security warning and
does not let you proceed, see What to do if you get a browser security warning on
page 33.
3. Enter the admin user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you set the first time that you
logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > VLAN / Bridge Settings.
The VLAN / Bridge Settings page displays.
5. Select the radio button next to the custom VLAN you want to delete.
6. Click the DELETE button.
The VLAN profile is removed from the table.
