5  Reflashing the NRU System 

NRU series is shipped with JetPack 4.4 installed as a turnkey solution. If you are 

familiar and experienced with the platform, you can skip this section and start 

your development.   

This section will show you how to reflash the NRU series with either NVIDIA's 

official JetPack 4.4 or from the pre-built system image by Neousys. 

To reflash the NRU system, you need a host system to reflash via a USB cable. 

There are four types of files involved in the reflash process:

Device Tree - It helps the Xavier module understand the hardware design. 

•

 

Kernel Image - The driver package 

•

 

Startup Scripts - Startup script to full support NRU hardware 

•

 

File System - A system image covers Jetson OS, kernel image, startup 

scripts..
