Feeding Issues (continued)
CONDITION PROBLEM SOLUTION
Media Jams
Paper path obstruction.
Carriage height not set
correctly.
Vacuum not ON.
Paper not loaded properly
Feeder is double feeding
Printhead adjusted too low.
Media is curled or bent
Media is too thin
Clear jam and remove all
media in transport area.
Re-adjust print carriage
height.
Turn on vacuum.
Re-adjust feeder. Instruct
operator in proper loading of
media.
Raise printhead
Uncurl media.
Media must be at least 0.008”
thick.
Printer stops with Paper
Jam message, but no
physical jam
Wrong paper size set in
software.
No separation between
pieces.
Paper Sensor Blocked
Dirty Paper Sensor/Reflector
Bad Paper Sensor/Reflector
Set software for proper paper
size (length).
Readjust feeder, reduce
feeder speed.
Make sure guides are not
interrupting paper sensor.
Clean sensor and reflector.
Call for service.
Power Issues

Printer Not operating at all.
No LCD display
No power.
Verify power from outlet.
Check on/off switch, power
cord connections, and printer
line fuses.
Call for service.
XPS-ProMail Base won’t
turn on. (Master Power
button won’t turn on)
No Power to Base
Emergency Stop or Safety
Stop circuit is open.
Verify main power to base.
Check Emergency Stop
Button. Check cable
connections and jumper
plugs.
Call for service.
Dryer lamps won’t power
on. Activation control conditions
have not been met. See “ Lamp Activation
Control Conditions”.
