Settings

“OK Google” detection:
You can use your voice to do actions like search, get directions, and create
reminders. For example, say “OK, Google, do I need an umbrella tomorrow?” to see if there’s rain in the
weather forecast. For more details, tap

Hands-free:
Turn on the switches so that allow requests with device locked.

Speech output:
Tap to turn it on or choose Hands-free only.

Offline speech recognition:
Manage downloaded languages here.

Block offensive words:
Turn on the switch to hide recognized offensive voice results.
•
Bluetooth headset:
Turn on the switch to record audio through Bluetooth headset if available.
3. Tap
Manage keyboards
and toggle the switches to enable or disable a keyboard. Google Keyboard
and Google voice typing are enabled by default. You can enable all the keyboard, while disabling all is not
allowed.
Text-to-speech (TTS) output
This feature converts text into speech for visually impaired users. Text To Speech (TTS) output requires TalkBack
to be enabled.
1. Tap

, select the desired speech synthesis engine.
2. Tap to configure the TTS settings. Drag the slider to adjust the speech rate and pitch.

Reset speech rate
and
Reset speech pitch
to reset the speed and pitch at which the text is spoken
to normal.

to play a short demonstration of speech synthesis.
13. 19 Backup and reset
Backups help ensure that you never lose your data. You can back up app data, WLAN passwords and other
settings to Google servers. Restore your phone to its factory settings if it crashes or is slow to respond.
Back up your data
1. Go to
Settings

Backup & reset
.
2. Tap
Back up my data
and turn on the switch.
3. Go back to the previous page, you can back up account by tapping
Backup account
or switch on
Automatic restore
to make your phone restore backed up settings and data when reinstalling an app.
Restore network settings
1. Go to
Settings
->
Backup & reset
->
Network settings reset
.
2. Tap
RESET SETTINGS
to reset all network settings including WLAN, cellular data and Bluetooth settings.
If you have set a screen lock, , you will need to confirm your pattern/PIN/password first so as to continue.
Restore DRM
1. Go to
Settings
->
Backup & reset
->
DRM reset
.
2. Tap
DRM reset
->
OK
to delete all DRM licenses on your device.
Restore factory settings
Restore your phone to its factory settings if it crashes or is slow to respond.
Back up important data on your phone before restoring factory settings. Restoring factory settings will erase
all personal data from your phone’s internal storage, including your Google account, system and app data and
settings, downloaded apps, music, photos and other user data.
