Corrective action

Is the correct type of cable used?

If any type of cable other than the PCPro cable (RS CON-
SOLE CA-A) is used, replace with the correct type of
cable.

Is the cable loosely connected?

A loose cable may result in a failure to establish a link
between PCPro and the SV8300. Reconnect the cable
tightly.

Is the cable faulty?

If the cable is faulty, replace with new cable.

Is the PC COM port used by another
application?

If the PC COM port is used by another application, exit
that application before retrying the connection operation.
