Backward Compatibility Mode 

6.1 

General 

The interface between the DMLS and the Messaging Application for the M166 offers a 
new set of commands and events. However, there are current Messaging Applications 
that cannot handle this new set of commands and events. For those Messaging 
Applications you can switch to compatibility mode.  

In the DMLS User Interface, you can switch to “Backwards Compatibility Mode” by means 
of a check box. Leave the text strings to the defaults. Most likely These text strings are 
setup in the receiving Messenger Application. If you change the text strings, most likely 
the Messenger Application cannot process the text string.
