EXPRESSBUILDER

EXPRESSBUILDER helps you to install Windows or maintain the server.

4.1

Features of EXPRESSBUILDER

EXPRESSBUILDER provides the following features.

Feature

Description

Setup

(Windows reinstallation)

Installs Windows on your server. Easily completes the process from RAID

configuration to installation of applications. To use this feature, choose

OS

installation

in Boot Selection Menu.

Bundled software

Stores bundled software such as NEC ESMPRO ServerAgentService.

Maintenance

Diagnoses your server system. To use this feature, choose

Tool menu

in Boot

Selection Menu.

Instruction manuals

Stores documents including Instruction Manual of the server.

4.2

Usage of EXPRESSBUILDER

If you want to configure RAID arrays or install Windows, run EXPRESSBUILDER by using any of the
following.

EXPRESSBUILDER DVD:

Insert the DVD into the drive and either turn on the server or restart the server by pressing <Ctrl> +
<Alt> + <Delete> keys. EXPRESSBUILDER will start from the DVD.

If you want to install any bundled software or see documents, set the DVD to a computer running
Windows. Autorun menu appears automatically.

Internal Flash Memory:

Remove a CD/DVD from the server, restart the server and press <F3> key during showing the
following message at POST.

Press <F2> SETUP, <F3> Internal flash memory, <F4> ROM Utility, <F12> Network

Windows Application:

When EXPRESSBUILDER is installed to the server, you can run it as Windows application.
See Chapter 2 (5. Details of EXPRESSBUILDER) in Maintenance Guide for details.
