Hard Disk Drive
Hard disk bays are provided at the front of the server.
A Hard Disk Drive mounted in a dedicated tray can be purchased. Install the Hard Disk Drive on the server with
it mounted on the tray.
Important Use hard disk drives specified by NEC. Installing a third-party hard disk drive might
cause a failure of the server as well as the hard disk drive.
Note the following precautions to install hard disk drives.
•
Hard disk drives having different capacities, interface types, or rotational speeds cannot be installed
together.
•
Hard disk drives cannot be installed together with SSD in the specific RAID System.
•
To use the hard disk drives as array disk, you may need to change jumper switch setting or re-route cables.
The bay can contain up to 4 hard disk drives. Bay numbers are assigned to each slot as shown below.
