Using Control P

A control point can be any specified point on the floor of the mapping site. Each control point
must meet the following criteria:

1. It is marked clearly with a cross (defines the exact location).

2. It has an ID that is unique within the mapping project.

3. It includes an explanation of what the sticker is for.

4. It is made of robust material, such as intended for outdoor use.

NavVis provides a PDF template for two different types of control point stickers:

1. Stickers without numbers

2. Stickers with a numbered label "000" that can be changed by a printing supplier to

sequential numbering (000, 001, 002, nnn…)

The template without a number can be
printed in a roll "as is". Surveyors can
enter their own numbers on the sticker
during surveying.

The template with a number should be
provided to your printing supplier with
instructions to replace the "000" with
sequential numbers (000, 001, 002, nnn…)
prior to printing.
