82 Installing a Common Vent System
9.2 Navien Common Vent Collar
Kit (Back-draft Damper)
The Navien Common Vent Collar Kit includes a
backdraft damper preventing the flue gases and
cold outside air from entering the boiler when the
combustion fan is off. The kit includes the cascade
cable.
By closing the exhaust vent as soon as the
combustion cycle ends, the Navien Common Vent
Collar Kit retains heat in the system for longer
periods.
