General Guidelines to Environmental Exposure
► Minimize the effects of the environment on the Monimax7800I island ATM by adhering to the
guidelines in this section. The following environmental factors can negatively effect device
operation in the island ATM.
Temperature
Rain, sleet, or snow
Humidity
Sunlight
Salt-laden fog
Sand or dust
The design of the Monimax7800I island ATM minimizes the effects of the environment
when all fascia and the safe door are closed and sealed. Exposure time to the
elements must always be kept to a minimum. Cold temperature exposure is extremely
critical.
<Caution!>
If the ATM is opened and exposed directly to rain, sleet, or snow, the supplies (printer
paper, etc.) or the equipment (modules) may be damaged. To avoid damage to the
supplies or equipment when rain, sleet, or snow is present, observe the following:
Clear the upper fascia bezel of water, ice, or snow before opening the ATM.
Make sure an overhead cover (such as a canopy or service tent) is present before
opening the ATM.
<Note!>
1. Remove any accumulated ice, snow, or water from this area (upper fascia bezel) before
opening terminal for service
2. Use the following tips to minimize device exposure.
Close (but do not lock) the upper chassis when using the operator's interface to perform
routine maintenance sessions (use the keyboard outside of the terminal).
