This section provides instructions on configuring the computer’s NIC with an IP address.
The IP address used for this section is different than the one entered in the hardware
configuration setup on the previous page.
NOTE: If applicable, it is possible to choose an IP address that is consistent with the
existing networking scheme of the hospital.
1. From the Windows task bar, select Start > Settings > Control Panel .
2. Click on the Network and Sharing Center icon.
3. Click on the Change adapter setings link in the upper left section.
4. Double-click on the icon that represents your NIC. This may be listed as Local Area
Connection .
5. Click on the Properties button.
6. Highlight Internet TCP/ICP Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP v4) by clicking on it
once, then click Properties . The Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP v4) Properties
window appears.
7. Select Use the following IP address .
8. Enter an IP address that fits within the same series as the v32 or v44 amplifier.
NOTE: The IP address here cannot be the same as the one used in the Hardware
Configuration.
An example IP address is
: 192.168.101.200
NOTE: It may be necessary to change the Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0 .
9. Click OK when finished.
