If you need to manually install more SCXI-1530/1531 modules in your
chassis, repeat steps 3 through 5 to configure each module.
Configuring the SCXI-1530/1531
To configure your SCXI-1530/1531 after auto-detection or to alter your
original configuration selections, use the Measurement & Automation
Explorer configuration utility. Perform the following steps to configure
your SCXI-1530/1531:
1.
Double-click the Measurement & Automation Explorer icon on
your desktop.

Click + next to the Devices and Interfaces icon to display the list of
installed devices and interfaces.

Locate the SCXI chassis in the list. Click + next to the Chassis icon to
display the list of modules in the chassis.
4.
Right-click the SCXI-1530/1531 module to configure and select
Properties. Click the General tab.

If the module you are configuring is connected to a National
Instruments DAQ device, select that device using the Connected
to control. If you want this DAQ device to control the chassis, a
check should be next to This device will control the chassis.
If the module you are configuring is not connected to a National
Instruments DAQ device, select none.

Select the appropriate mode for your SCXI-1530/1531 by using
the Operating Mode control. If parallel mode is selected, the
checkbox labeled This device will control the chassis is
deselected automatically.

Click the Channel tab. Select the appropriate gain, filter, current
excitation, and current source settings for each channel on the
SCXI-1530/1531. Refer to Chapter 2,
for a description of each setting.
Your SCXI chassis and SCXI module(s) should now be configured
properly. You should now test the system in the appropriate section that
follows to ensure that your SCXI system is communicating properly with
the DAQ device.
