SCC Quick Start Guide
Getting Started Developing an Application
Using Examples
Each API includes a collection of programming examples to help you get
started developing an application. You can modify example code and save
it in an application. You can use examples to develop a new application or
add example code to an existing application.
To run examples without hardware installed, you can use an NI-DAQmx
simulated device. In MAX, refer to the
Measurement & Automation
Explorer Help for NI-DAQmx
by selecting
Help»Help Topics»
NI-DAQmx
for information on NI-DAQmx simulated devices.
To locate LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI examples, select
Help»Find
Examples
, which opens the National Instruments Example Finder.
NI-DAQmx examples for Measurement Studio-supported languages
(Visual Basic .NET, C#, and MFC C++) are in the following directories:
•
Measurement Studio MFC C++ examples—

of the ActiveX user interface if Measurement Studio is not present.
•
The
NI-DAQ\Examples\VBasic
directory contains the examples
not associated with Measurement Studio.
Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) examples for ANSI C are in the
