Wait State Generator
Note:
The wait state generator is not located on revisions of the
GPIB-PCIIB interface board earlier than Revision B.
To configure the GPIB-PCIIB to generate wait states, you must move the
wait state generator jumper (see Figure 2-1) to the enabled position.
Enabling the wait state generator guarantees that the timing requirements of
the GPIB-PCIIB are met on computers with very fast I/O cycles (less than
180 nsec). The default configuration setting for the wait state generator is
at the disabled position as almost all personal computers already have
sufficiently long I/O cycles. Figure 2-5 shows the two possible settings for
the wait state generator.

In the space provided here, record the new settings of the base I/O address,
the DMA channel, the interrupt line, and the wait state generator so that you
will have them handy when you install the software.
