Calibration Utilities
NI-FGEN supports several calibration utilities that allow you to retrieve information about
adjustments performed on the NI 5412, restore an external calibration, change the external
calibration password, and store small amounts of information in the onboard EEPROM. You can
retrieve some data using MAX or the FGEN SFP; however, you can retrieve all the data using
NI-FGEN.
MAX
To retrieve data using MAX, complete the following steps:
1. Launch MAX.
2. Select the device from which you want to retrieve information from
My System»Devices
and Interfaces»PXI System
.
3. Select the
Calibration Tab
on the lower right corner.
You should see information about the last dates and temperature for both external and
self-calibration.
FGEN SFP
To retrieve data using the FGEN SFP, complete the following steps:
1. Launch the FGEN SFP.
2. Select the device from which you want to retrieve information using the Device
Configuration dialog box (
Edit»Device Configuration
).
3. Open the Calibration dialog box (
Utility»Calibration
).
You should see information about the last dates of both external and self-calibration.
