
1. If the appliance opening is larger than the trim assembly, it is
recommended to reduce the opening. Use a noncombustible material
such as ceramic tile, marble, etc. or our GIZBP6-3 backer plate kits. If this
appliance is being installed into an existing wood
burning, zero clearance fi replace then be aware of
this precaution:
Any circulation air opening may
be covered (with non-combustible material) but
not sealed!
2. Remove the valve cover plate held on with one
screw.
3. Start a hex nut loosely on the top stud on both sides
of the appliance.
4. Remove the glass viewing door. (Refer to the
appliance installation instructions)
5. Slide the trim assembly onto the studs,
"manoeuvring" the assembly so as to avoid
interference with the valve bracket at the right and
the switch bracket on the left.
NOTE:
The trim
assembly has 4 keyholes that align to the four studs
on the appliance.
6. Start the two hex nuts on the bottom studs, then
tighten all four.
7. To attach the trim to the top of the fi rebox, line the holes on the top of the appliance with the securing slots on the top trim
and secure using the screws provided.
If up or down adjustment is required, this can be done by loosening the screws that mount the top trim to the appliance.
8. Re-install the glass viewing door.
Note: Since the side panels open and close, to access
the controls, a gap is necessary between the top and side
panels.
