Stopping the boat and 

engine 

1.

 

Open 

the 

hold 

panel(s) to fully ventilate 
the  hold  if  not  equipped 
with  a  fan.  If  equipped 
with  a  fan,  operate  the 
hold fan for 5 minutes.

 

2.

 

Check  that  your  lever 

is in the neutral position.

 

3.

 

Check that the engine 

mechanical  stop  lever  is 
in  the  « off »  position  (if 
equipped).

 

4.

 

Fully  lower  the  base 

(if equipped).

 

5.

 

Prime 

the 

fuel 

injection 

circuit 

if 

necessary.

 

6.

 

If  your  model  is 

equipped  with  a  battery 
switch, set it to the "ON" 
position.

 

7.

 

Open  the  seawater 

intake valve. 

 

8.

 

Set 

the 

ignition 

keyswitch  to  "ON"  and 
check  that  the  lamps  and 
indicator  lights  come  on; 
trigger  the  preheating  (if 
equipped)  then  turn  the 
keyswitch  to  "Start"  and 
release.

 

On  a  "Fly"  system:  Push 
the  start  button.  Release 
the  button  when  the 
engine starts up.

 

9.

 

Check that the charge 

and oil pressure indicator 
lights  go  off  once  the 
engine is started up.

 

10.

 

Warm  up  the  engine 

at  idle  speed  for  a  few 
minutes.

 

 

Do  not  accelerate  the 
engine when starting it up.

Place the control lever 

in  the  idle  position  and 
allow  the  lever  to  move 
into place. 

 
2.

 

Check  the  gauges  and 

indicator lights to monitor 
correct  operation  of  the 
engine. 

If 

any 

malfunction  is  observed, 
stop the engine. 

 

3.

 

Check  for  any  fuel, 

water  or  fluid  leaks, 
tightness  of  the  exhaust, 
etc. 

 

4.

 

Check  that  the  throttle 

and  gear  change  controls 
operate freely.

Check  the  gauges  and 

indicator lights to monitor 
correct  operation  of  the 
engine. 

•

 

Check  the  seawater 

outlet and the color of the 
exhaust gases.

Place the control lever 

in the neutral position.

 

 
2.

 

Run  the  engine  at  idle 

speed for a few minutes to 
allow  it  to  cool  down 
(between 45 and 60°C).

 

 

3.

 

Turn  the  keyswitch  to 

the "OFF" position.

 

On a "Fly" system: Engage 
the  stop  button  until  the 
motor stops completely.

 

Turn  the  keyswitch  to  the 
"OFF" position.

 

 

4.

 

If 

your 

model 

is 

equipped  with  a  battery 
switch,  set  the  switch  to 
the "OFF" position.

 

 

5.

 

Close  the  seawater 

intake valve.

 

 

Do  not  accelerate  the 
engine when stopping it.
