CHAPTER 6: SIMULTANEOUS PAIR, DOUBLE EGRESS, AND BI-FOLD DOORS
Attention: DO NOT copy data from a Type 1 control. If data is copied from a Type 1 control:
►
The Type 1 control will change itself to a Type 2 control.
►
There will be no communication between controls of the same Type.
Attention: When programming Opus controls on bi-fold doors using 2 controls, Always say “NO” to “copy data?”.
Since monitored sensors are only connected to one control (Type 2), you don’t want the monitoring
settings to be copied to the control without sensors connected (Type 1).
Any changes to one control, such as speed or timing, should be entered on the other control
manually, not copied.
Note: Simultaneous Pair settings apply to any Simultaneous Pair, or Double Egress having (2) Operators.
Note: Units are setup to operate as a pair at the NABCO Factory and shipped accordingly.
Note: For Headers with stacked Opus Controls, the Type 2 Control is always installed on top of the Type 1 Control.
Within the Status Screen (main screen) located at the top, Opus Controls are labeled Type 1 or Type 2. Type 1 should be considered
the Slave Control; Type 2 should be considered the Master Control:
X
All Activation Devices are connected to the Type 2 (Master Control).
X
Programming/Settings that need to apply to both Controls, are done from the Type 2 (Master Control).
X
To ensure programming/settings made to the Type 2 (Master Control) is copied to the Type 1 (Slave Control), select YES
when prompted to COPY DATA. This is done when backing out of programming.
