-
at the base of the column,
-
on the X-ray tube housing,
are intact, well attached and legible.
Section Identification label position
2
Check there are no external damages to the equipment which could reduce protection against radiation.
Section Description of the operation
3
Check the remote emission button cable is not broken or scratched.
Section X-ray emission remote control
4
Check the power switch verifying that the switch is working properly and the green light on the switch, check if the keyboard
illuminates when the switch is in the on position.
Section Turning on the system
5
Verify that exposure is immediately interrupted when X-rays button is released
Section X-ray emission remote control
6
Check the control keyboard functionality: functions must respond to interrogation.
Section Console onboard the machine?
7
Check proper functioning of X-ray exposure LED and exposure buzzer
Section X-ray emission remote control
8
Check proper functioning of patient centering laser traces
Section Laser positioning system
9
Perform a motors movement test running the Dummy panoramic procedure, making sure the axis movement (rotation and
translation simultaneously) is smoothly and without noise. See figure 1, next page.
Section Perform a simulation (Dummy Run)
10
Perform column movements, up and down on the Z axis and check proper functioning. See figure 2, next page.
