4.14 Remove Adapter Covers
Start removing the installed adapter covers one at a
time to prevent dust from getting into the adapter
without a connector in it. DO NOT remove all the
adapters cover at once. Multilink is not responsible
for any insertion loss that may occur if this is
performed improperly.
4.15 Install Each Fiber Connector
After removing the adapter cover remove the dust
cap from the connector and plug in the connector
into the internal adapter following the color fiber
chart to that on the Fiber Tap Plus cover. Repeat
steps 4.13 & 4.14 the appropriate number of times
till all fiber connections are installed.
4.16 Apply Sealant to Groove
Apply a layer of sealant to the groove installed into
the Fiber Tap Plus base. Ensure the entire groove is
coated before proceeding and align onto the base.
At any time of reentry to the Fiber Tap Plus ensure
the groove is coated with sealant for a proper seal.
Installation (Cont.)
4.13 Attach Strain Relief Clip to Base
With the input cover installed, make sure the
entry lines up with the base. This helps to hold the
fiber in place and keep a consistent and complete
seal around the fiber jacketing. Make sure to not
overtighten.
