4.5. Uncrating
WARNING
Proceed with extreme care when effecting the following uncrating
procedure, because some machine parts may be up against the
cardboard panels. Do not break open the crate with sharp tools and do
not perforate the crate panels.
•
Remove the plastic strip. Remove the upper crate cover.
•
Check that the content corresponds to the shipping list in the enclosed
documents. Inform the carrier or the company immediately of any
missing or damaged part.
•
Unscrew the four metal brackets and release the machine from the
wooden bench (see page 22).
•
Remove the machine from the wooden bench and place it securely on
a suitable surface. The KC5 machine arrives fully assembled. Hold the
machine base firmly and lift onto the workbench designated for its use,
handling with care. If necessary, level the machine by adjusting the
machine legs, using 14 and 13 mm open end wrenches.
Note: 14 and 13 mm open-end wrenches are not supplied.
•
Remove axis fixing jig (see chapter 4.2 - packing instructions).
•
Store the cardboard box container with all additional packing parts.
