• 60 bar – Signal whistle – double beep repeated until confirmed with double press below 15 bar
These thresholds can be changed using the MSA A2 Software in combination with 10181672 as PC
interface.

4.4 Battery Life Indication
The battery life of the device is indicated as follows:
•
Batteries are OK – The device starts in SCOUT Mode. The green battery life indication blinks for 100 ms
every 45 seconds.
• Batteries are empty
– In Standby: The red battery life indication LED blinks for 100 ms every 30 seconds.
– During start-up: The device does not start properly. All red LEDs incl. battery life indicator
lighten up and an acoustic signal sounds.
If the battery power level cannot be measured anymore, the device will not start.
In all cases, the batteries must be exchanged.
Update date and time settings after battery exchange using MSA A2 Software.
4.5 Initiating Manual Alarm Calls during Use
(1) Push the manual alarm button until the alarm sounds and buddy lights are turned on.
4.6 Canceling Alarms
(1) Push the alarm button twice.
The alarm turns off.
4.7 Using a Safety Key
The SingleLine SCOUT can be used with a safety key (10186697).
Motion Detection
The device automatically detects if a key is placed in its holder. If a key is detected during start up, the motion
detection is deactivated and can be activated by removing the key.
All warnings and alarms related to the motion detector are deactivated.
Muted Alarms during Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) Missions
The key can be used during RIT missions to mute device alarms while they are active by pushing the key in
the holder of the device in alarm state.
Pressure warnings and pressure alarm sounds will still occur.
4.8 Illuminating the Gauge
(1) Lift up the gauge from the chest over an angle of 90°.
The gauge lightning turns on.
