EDS-518A Series User’s Manual

EDS Configurator GUI

Once the search is complete, the Configurator window will display a list of all switches that were
located.

Search by IP address

This utility is used to search for EDS-518A switches one at a time. Note that the search is
conducted by IP address, so you should be able to locate any EDS-518A that is properly connected
to your LAN, WAN, or even the Internet. Start by clicking the Specify by IP address icon

, or

by selecting

Specify IP address

under the

List Server

menu.

The

Search Server with IP Address

window will open. Enter the IP address of the switch you

wish to search for, and then click

OK

.

Once the search is complete, the Configurator window will add the switch to the list of switches.

Upgrade Firmware

Keep your EDS-518A up to date with the latest firmware from MOXA. Perform the following
steps to upgrade the firmware:

1.

Download the updated firmware (*.rom) file from the MOXA website (www.moxa.com).

2.

Click the switch (from the

MOXA EtherDevice Server Configurator

window) whose

firmware you wish to upgrade to highlight it.
