7.2
Programming Functions
The system uses a menu structure to give you access to all of the built-in features. You may
program the following items in main menu:
SELECT MODE
PHONE SETTING
DISPLAY SETTING
SOUND SETTING
VOICE MAIL
RESTORE SETTING
NOTE
During programming, you may press
BACK
softkey at any time to exit the sub-menu and return to
the main menu, or press
EXIT
key to exit programming and return to standby screen.
If no key is pressed for 30 seconds, the base will automatically exit programming and return to
standby screen.

Select Mode
1. In idle mode, press
MENU
softkey to go to the main menu.
2. Press
SELECT
softkey to enter
SELECT MODE
menu.
3. Using
VOL +
and
VOL -
of the navigation button to scroll to
MAIN/WIRED
or
EXT/WIRELESS
.
4. Press
SELECT
softkey to save your selection.
NOTE
Each system of Motorola ML25260 must have one phone set to Main/Wired mode with a wired
connection to the phone lines.
7.3.1 Main/Wired Mode
From the
SELECT MODE
menu:
1. Using
VOL +
and
VOL -
of the navigation button to scroll to
MAIN/WIRED
. Press
Select
softkey.
2. The screen will display
PLEASE PLUG IN A PHONE LINE
.
7.3.2 Extension/Wireless Mode
From the
SELECT MODE
menu:
1. Using
VOL +
and
VOL -
of the navigation button to scroll to
EXT/WIRELESS
. Press
Select
softkey.
2. The screen will display
PLEASE REGISTER TO BASE STATION
.
NOTE
Each phone set to Extension/Wireless mode must be registered to a compatible Motorola base
phone or another Motorola ML25260 that is set to Main/Wired mode and has a wired connection
to the phone lines. For help with the registration process, please see page 14 and 17.
