To preserve the data inside the CPU Module RAM while the RTU is

Removing the CMU Module
To remove a CMU Module from the RTU proceed as follows:
1. Turn off the DC power.
2. Disconnect all cables attached to the CMU Module.
3. Remove the module by pressing the side snaps down and pulling the module up.
Installing the CMU Module
To install a CMU Module in the RTU proceed as follows:
1. Turn off the DC power.
2. Place the module on the top of the multi-slot I/O card cage in alignment with the
4 corner posts.
3. Press the module into place until the two-side snaps lock the module in place.
4. Reconnect the modules power cable and various communications cables
according to the user connections shown in
4.1.3
Diagnostic LED Panel
The matrix of 5 x 4 LED’s located on the CPU Module is used for diagnostics and testing
of the CPU and I/O Modules.
If the CMU is operating properly then the appropriate Port 2 and Port 3 LEDs will light up
during transmission and reception.
4.1.4
Setting the LED Display to the Relevant Module
For CMU operation set the led matrix to display CPU operations. This is done by
depressing the pushbutton on the CPU Module until the “CPU” LED is lit (See
