3.6 Device Software Installation Prerequisites

When and where to use:

This process provides a list of items you need to have access to before you can complete the device software
installation and begin the configuration procedures in the Configuration chapter.

Process Steps

Transfer and install new software to a comparator using Software Download Manager. See

Make sure that the ASTRO

25 system CDs and DVDs are available to you. Specifically, you need the Motorola

Device OS Image CDs. See

Make sure that you have the user names, passwords and procedures you need to access the devices on the
network. For specific user names and passwords to access devices on the network, contact your system
administrator.

Set up the users in the IT Admin group in Active Directory Users and Computers. See the
