Removing and Installing “Hot Swap” I/O
Modules

This section tells you how to remove and install “hot swap” I/O modules.

!

Warning

Only properly trained service personnel should remove or
install “hot swap” I/O modules. Do not touch bare parts inside
the enclosure because of the possible presence of hazardous
energy levels.

You can remove “hot swap” I/O modules without removing power from
the system. Refer to Appendix D, “Related Documentation” for
information about the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturer’s Group
(PICMG) Hot Swap Specification.
