Attaching the Battery

NOTICE:

User is notified if radio detects non-Motorola
Solutions battery upon powering up, charging, or
removing from the charger. This feature is
applicable for IMPRES and Non-IMPRES battery.
When the radio is attached with the non-Motorola
Solutions battery, a tone sounds, display shows

Unknown Battry

temporarily and battery indicator

is not shown in the radio display. Battery menu
screen displays

Unknown Battry

permanently and

IMPRES battery information is not shown on the
radio display.

Slide the battery into the radio frame until the latch
which is at the bottom of the radio clicks into place.

To remove the battery, turn the radio off. Lift the
latch which is at the bottom of the radio, then slide
the battery out from the radio.
