This chapter covers the radio and battery care.

Radio Care

Proper radio usage and care assures efficient operation
and long life for the product.

The following are recommendations and warnings when
using the radio

CAUTION:

• Your radio casting has a vent port that allows for

pressure equalization in the radio. Never poke
this vent with any objects, such as needles,
tweezers, or screwdrivers.

• Do not submerge the radio as this results in

damage to the radio.

• Avoid subjecting the radio to an excess of

liquids.
