cable stop and hardware are included with the winch.
1.
Remove the front plastic bumper guard. Place the winch mount plate on top of the horizontal bumper support tubes as
shown in picture below. The U-bolts will be placed around the tubes and up through the plate and are secured with nylock
nuts. Tighten fully.
2.
Mount the winch to the underside of the winch mount plate using the mount holes in the plate and the provided bolts.
Tighten hardware at this time
. Go to instructions for your winch.
-Two – Bolt Winches (SUPERWINCH)
Using the two 5/16” x 1” bolts supplied with kit, mount the winch to the winch mount plate. Be sure that when the winch is
mounted to the ATV, the winch motor is on the
RIGHT
side of the machine. Go to next instruction.
-Four – Bolt Winches (VIPER, WARN, RAMSEY)
Using the four 5/16” x 3/4” bolts supplied with the winch, mount the winch to the winch mount plate. Be sure that when the
winch is mounted to the ATV, the winch motor is on the
LEFT
side of the machine. The roller hawse mount plate provided
with the winch will not be used. Go to next instruction.
3.
Place the front plastic bumper guard back onto your Honda Rubicon, place the roller hawse mount bracket against the front
plastic bumper guard using the 7/8” steel bushings as spacers. Attach using the 6 x 30mm bolts and flat washers.
4.
String the cable through the hole in the hawse mount bracket. Remove one of the long rollers and the two side rollers of the
roller hawse and feed the winch cable through the roller hawse. Reinstall the rollers and be sure rollers move freely.

ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. First determine where to install the contactor (control relay). There is no right or wrong place. We recommend a dry place
away from sharp or moving suspension parts. It can be hard to find a totally dry place on an ATV but just try to find the best
spot. You may mount it in the front, back or under the seat. You may mount it with U-bolts (holes on contactor are metric.) or
bolts. We usually install the contactor in the rear storage compartment if possible because it is dry there. When installing the
contactor in the storage compartment, you should attach all the wires first, before bolting it down. We also offer an optional
side bracket mount. This bracket allows the contactor to hang on the side of square tubing. There is an additional cost
associated with this part and you can call us for details or visit our website.
